Bruce Hyer is our MP NDP and he is really struggling in the area. He told lumber and mill workers that it was not his job to help. Yves Fricot is the liberal candidate and he was the lawyer for Buchanan the company that screwed the lumber and mill towns with claiming bankruptcy so they don't have to pay severance or pensions. Richard Harvey is the Conservative candidate and he is going great guns. He is the mayor of Nipigon which went from a small dot on the map to a great big spot on the map. We have a good chance of getting rid of the NDP. Steven Harper is coming to the riding tomorrow night and he was here a few months ago. So this election is kind of exciting in a small town sort of way. wish us luck.
Rotterdam is right. Pauline Marois has just stated point blank that the key to a referendum and sovereignty is stopping a Conservative majority. The corollary to that is that she has essentially said that putting the Liberals in power, under the control of Duceppe is what they need for success in breaking up the country. Iggy, probably doesn't care though because he has so many other countries he can go back to - U.K, France, USA - he doesn't really need Canada to survive.
There are so man things to attack Igula on. Cap & Trade, the failed "Hot Air" ponzi scheme, turning OUR military over to the control of the UN, Canada would be a good country to choose if he needed to choose, it does not matter, Canadian first or Quebecer first, raising the corporate income tax in the face of all economists advising against doing it, the US is my country, just as it is yours, the Alberta tax attacks, lowest attendance at the House .... and it goes on and on. On top of all this and he wants to be Prime Minister

The Conservatives should hit back with Ignatieff soft on human smuggling, Ignatieff statements today will enforce it.
Duceppe handed Harper a gem today.
Harper should bring up the Liberal nightmare.
1995, when they almost lost the country.
Too cute! Yup, this election has gone on long enough, people have decided now they just want to vote.
Unless Sun News shakes things up!
